Open Case Document command

How to open or import a case document...

  1. Select Open Case Document from the File Menu.
  2. A dialog box appears. Press the Help button if you need instructions on how to fill in the dialog box fields. Fill in the fields that are not grayed or accept defaults and press Ok to continue. Or press Cancel to abort.
  3. If the file you want to open has a foreign format, this will be recognized automatically and the dialog will open a second time with those fields active that allow you to specify additional information which is not provided by the foreign file format.
  4. If the file you want to open has a foreign format that does not contain case property information, a second dialog box allows to specify the case properties. Press the Help button if you need instructions on how to fill in the dialog box fields. Fill in the fields that are not grayed or accept defaults and press Ok to continue. Or press Cancel to abort.
  5. Wintrack will open the document and display it on screen as the active document.
  6. You use this command to open Wintrack case documents and to import files that were created by other programs, for example MS Excel™ text files, HVS Image WATER 2020™ files, Watermaze™ for Windows files, EYE files, or ASBA Wild & Leitz™ BEO files.
