Type conventions and statement syntax are explained in the Glossary.

Parameters...

iFile
File parameter indicating the case file to be loaded. Must be specified, there is no default. Wintrack case files (.WTR), ASBA Wild & Leitz™ files (.RAW), HVS Image™ files (.HVS, .WET, .DRY), Watermaze™ for Windows data files (.WMD) ), EYE files (.EYE), and text format files (.TXT) are accepted.

Sint
Number parameter indicating a sampling interval:

  • ASBA Wild & Leitz™ and EYE data files require manual specification of the sampling interval, minimum is 0.24.
  • HVS Image™ and Watermaze™ for Windows data files are assumed to be sampled at 0.1 s (sampling rate switch on tracker set to SLOW), but you can specify a different interval to trigger resampling of the data during import. Specify 0.1 to skip resampling.
  • If the imported text format file contains time stamp columns, specify 0, else specify an appropriate sampling interval.

Smooth
Number parameter indicating the time frame for running average smoothing of the imported path data. Default is 0 which turns smoothing off.

Fmat
Radio button parameter indicating the size of the created window. Default = Norm, else any of the following options:

  • Norm = default size assigned by Windows™,
  • Fit = automatic fit of data to be shown,
  • Max = maximize window,
  • Min = minimize as icon,
  • None = do not display a window.

Tri
Number parameter indicating how many trials are expected in the file. Default is 0. If the number is known, specifying the appropriate value helps to check completeness of data.

eFile
File parameter indicating the location of the experiment file (.WME or .WMU) needed for importing Watermaze™ for Windows data files (.WMD). This parameter is ignored with all other file formats.

Note that...

The Sint, Smooth and Tri parameters are only effective if the case file being opened has a foreign format. When opening foreign files which contain no layout information, the resulting case document has a default case layout that displays one trial at a time and has no row breaks. You must use the Case Properties statement to give the new case document a custom layout.
