Zoom Path command

How to zoom a case's paths in and out...

  1. Activate the case document you wish to operate on and use the mouse to select the trials whose paths you want to zoom in or out.
  2. Select Zoom Paths from the Window Menu.
  3. A dialog box appears. Press the Help button if you need instructions on how to fill in the dialog box fields. Fill in the fields that are not grayed or accept defaults and press Ok to continue. Or press Cancel to abort.
  4. Wintrack will redisplay the case document so the paths in the selected trials are shown as specified in the dialog box.

Zooming paths allows to change the magnification at which the path and the fields of one or several trials are shown. The Window menu provides shortcuts to several frequently used zooming operations. The Zoom Path command also allows to restrict the display to only part of the path defined by a time window. If you increase the magnification, only those fields and path segments will be shown which still fit entirely into the view frame. By using the Zoom Path command repeatedly, you can set individual magnifications and time windows for different trials. When you save a case document, the zoom state of every trial's path is stored along with the data.

Related commands...

You use the Zoom Case and Case Properties command to control which trials are shown inside the case window. There are many mouse shortcuts that allow for easy and rapid control of the magnification at which paths and fields are displayed inside trial views. When saving the document using the Save Case Document As command you have the choice of saving all trial data, or only the data in the respective visible time window, thereby converting a time window into a separate trial.
