MS Excel™ compatible text format for Scrollsheets

This format is used to exchange scrollsheet data via the clipboard and via text files. It is identical to the format used by MS Excel™ when copying data to the clipboard (CF_TEXT) and when saving worksheets as text files (extension .TXT). For this type of file, Wintrack uses the extensions .TXT. Cell contents are represented as text, exactly as displayed in the scrollsheet window. For numbers, this may mean a loss of precision. Cells are written or read row by row. Within a row, cells are delimited by tab characters (ASCII 9). Rows are separated by CR LF (ASCII 10, ASCII 13).

Note that...

Even though TXT is the recommended and most frequently used exchange format for tabular data, scrollsheet data can also be exported to or read from comma-delimited text files (.CSV) or space delimited text files with fixed column width (.LOG).
