Run Macro command

How to run a macro...

  1. Select Run Macro from the Analysis Menu.
  2. A dialog box appears. Press the Help button if you need instructions on how to fill in the dialog box fields. Fill in the fields that are not grayed or accept defaults and press Ok to continue. Or press Cancel to abort.
  3. Wintrack will execute the macro as specified.

You use this command also to check macros for correct syntax and for the correct spelling and availability of input files used in the macro. To prevent error messages for input files that are created during macro execution, 0-byte place holder files are created during checking as necessary.

Parameter tables allow for flexible reuse of Wintrack macros to treat similar sets of data. You set up parameter tables using MS Excel™ or an equivalent spreadsheet program and save them as text format. These text files can be read directly by a running macro. However, macro execution is faster if the macro is offered a Wintrack scrollsheet file as parameter table. Thus, before running a macro, you may want to import the parameter tables using the New Scrollsheet or Open Scrollsheet commands and save them as Wintrack scrollsheets with the Save Scrollsheet As command.
