Animated demo of Wintrack

The following five movies give an impression of Wintrack's user interface and features. They are animated GIF files and do not require any extra plug-in to play. If you have a slow network connection, the data stream may lag behind as the movie is playing for the first time and images may appear incomplete or jagged. If this happens, you can click the repeat button to restart the movie. An oversized mouse pointer simulates mouse movements while the movie is playing. This pointer disappears as soon as the movie has ended. For optimal display a screen resolution of 1024x768 or better is recommendet.

  • Setting arena properties (33K - 15s)
Before work begins, one of the predefined arena types - open field, Barnes maze, or watermaze - is selected and its dimensions are specified.
  • Opening case documents (118K - 38s)
Typically, all paths that were recorded with the same animal are stored in a single case document. Multiple case documents can be open simultaneously in Wintrack in order to view and compare paths.
  • Trial by trial data analysis (130K - 43s)
A range of trials can be selected in a case document and then analyzed by choosing and customizing predefined variables. Results from several case documents can be gathered in the same scrollsheet.
  • Working with other applications (251K - 74s)
Content of scrollsheets and case documents can be transferred to other applications, e.g. to MS Excel, by simple copy and paste.
  • Drag & drop case analysis (197K - 96s)
Whole sets of case documents can be dragged from Explorer and dropped onto the Wintrack workspace to initiate analysis. Analysis can be set up to calculate multiple averages of blocks of trials
